Hi, I'm Julian

In 2017, just after conducting a performance of the Broadway musical Hamilton, I experienced a heart attack.

I was 43 years old.

My body finally said no more to the workaholism, stress, perfectionism and self-medication associated with high achievement.

I was officially burned out.

I could have quit the show, and retired to less stressful pastures. But I didn’t.

Instead, I began to find ways to achieve success in healthier ways. I discovered how to reframe the approach to my work so that stress and burnout were avoided while high standards and expectations were maintained.
